Funimation is in my opinion a great streaming service, it has a lot of great shows, I did have 1 issue with them but it has been resolved very quickly.

Literally the worst Streaming site I’ve ever used, it is a damn shame that there are good shows on it, Because the experience is a living nightmare
Half of the functions do not work in full screen, every time you start an Episode, it always starts on the lowest quality. The auto play actually doesn’t work, and you can’t click next episode in full screen. Often times the subtitles stay on if you’re watching the dub, and you have to turn them off every single episode. Not to mention you can’t hover over any function like settings, or volume. So you have to mute the audio in order to even Adjust the volume. It’s like no one even watched anything on this platform before they released it. Every quality of life Function required for a streaming service, was meticulously upended

The content is good, the quality of the video and audio are also very good. The website itself is a hot dumpster fire and feels like someone with half a diploma in website design put it together. The video overlay almost never works to go to next episode or skip forward, and doesn't go away on it's own in full-screen mode (I had to download a third party extension just so I could push 'Z' to make it go away when viewing content). I constantly get logged out for no reason, it never defaults to 1080p and always plays at the lowest quality EVEN THOUGH I went into my account settings and set the default to the highest quality, and it always changes the default language to English EVEN THOUGH I set the default language to Japanese.
To top it all off, I have a paid subscription to use a website that works half as well as a site I could stream anime illegally on. If I didn't have a conscience and want to watch anime in HD, I would jump to a bootleg streaming service in a heartbeat.
Funimation, please take notes from Crunchyroll please, and learn how to make a seamless website that lives up to the content that you provide.

The app for the tv is really glitchy. Customer service reply would be it’s a known issue I can’t help you.
Two days ago my automatic payment happened through PayPal. I noticed errors when trying to stream. I reached out to them no answer. I try again today on the app on my phone and it states to update my billing information. The payment is posted on my credit card. I contacted PayPal and they said the payment was successful. I reached out to them again and still haven’t gotten an answer.
Worst part is I learned there was a second data breach. I use PayPal because they had a security leak in the past and I am glad I did. Next if they do not answer me I am going to have to open a claim for fraud.

Quite simply put, this goes beyond them having a terrible streaming service. Funimation is notorious for their underhanded business tactics, from obtaining exclusivity rights so that you have to use their site or pirate a series. To changing the credits of a series to only feature the English dub voice actors, even removing the names of the directors, writers, and animators, and replacing them with people who did nothing at all production wise. For example look up their dubbed movies on Amazon or Vudu, they literally will remove all credits outside of the English dub cast, guess the people who made it don't deserve credit in Funimation's eyes. My Hero Acedamia: Heroes Rising says some random lady at Funimation directed it, not Kenji Nagasaki. You recorded a dub, you did not make the damn anime itself! It has gotten so bad, that people who work in the anime/manga industry have even spoken out against them online, urging fans to watch their content elsewhere. Not to mention their idiotic stance on nudity and sexual content, they removed Interspecies Reviewers, despite the fact that they have Azur Lane uncensored on their site. Which is basically just loli fan-service, including an uncensored bath scene full of nudity. Funimation takes advantage of the anime industry for profit and pretends to be all high and mighty. The anime/manga industry would be much better off without this shady company involved.

I don’t know why all the reviews are so bad but I haven’t had any problems with this site, I watch all my anime seems to work fine for the time I’ve had it. Could have a better list of what your watching though

ZERO star!! DO NOT BUY any funko pops on this site as most of it will come in as damaged on the box, not suitable for any funko pop collectors who seeks for mint condition pops. They do not accept returns on damaged box pops so your are literally wasting money on damaged items.

I am so goddamn sick with this application. It is so bad on mobile and desktop. Your place is NEVER kept, and then it randomly stops streaming.There are plenty of other bugs. On Playstation, the app fast forward wont work, nor will it move to the next episode. Now, the app refuses to load. I am cancelling my subscription again. These people should be sued by anyone that has a contract with them for content, because they are actually hurting creators with this balogna. And somehow they bought CrunchyRoll. This app is absolute garbage. Please stay away

It shows some great program animation series, but the reason for the low grade/rating. What I don't like you select an animation to watch it shows its in English you get into it the story you start to enjoy it then go onto the next 6 or 9th episode so you're well into the story, then that episode and the episodes after that starts to play in Japanese, there's no other languages available so you can't change it back, that just ruins it all. That's happened to quite a few animations titles available. That's a huge bugbear very annoying and a total waste of an 1hr and a half of watching something. Please fix this.

This has been one of the worst purchases I’ve ever made. After getting charged for a year of service when I only purchased a month. They apparently could not refund or cancel my subscription. So, 6 months in and the service barely works. Randomly with just kick you off. Randomly like all the time!

It is a really slow website. You'll have better streaming qualities on an illegal site or vrv.

(PS4) I paid for it (twice now and both times) it says I'm not subscribed, it tells me the attempt to bill was unsuccessful (2 weeks after taking the payment successfully) autoplay feature doesn't work it keeps sending you back to the titles screen, its constantly disconnecting, cutting you off and glitching, buffering and considering Funimation are a dubbing company, a lot of the shows aren't even dubbed and simulDub is crap, it suggests the original and dubbed are released together but they aren't. There's no filter for English dubbed only or movies only or short/long running anime or completed/ongoing, only has a small selection of genres to choose from, so you better know what you want to watch or you'll get frustrated at how many of the interesting looking ones aren't dubbed yet or are only on ep 1 because they aren't Netflix so they dont know how to hold onto the single eps until theres a full season, so anything else that looks good is only 1 episode long and probably only in Japanese.
This is not worth paying for DONT DO IT! Watching it online on an anime website is easier, faster and more user friendly than the funimation app.
I only got it because you cant block pop ups on ps4 internet and figured this would be easier, but it proved me so wrong! I'd rather have pop-ups than pay for a service that's so crap it doesn't even recognise paying customers as having paid.
